About the institute
The Institute of Geochemistry and Petrology is part of the Department of Earth Sciences at ETH Zurich.
Research at the Institute of Geochemistry and Petrology encompasses field, experimental, and analytical studies as well as theoretical modeling. A goal of this research is the understanding and calibration of physical processes ranging from the formation of the solar system and earth through mountain and ocean building, volcanism, and ore deposition.
